Meeting Report #404

本日から、トーストマスターズ新年度役員に交代です。新会長のTM NHより、やや緊張の面持ちでの初・ご挨拶がありました！

本日のTMOEは、パワーみなぎる（！）TM NKです。

[日本語の部]

今夜の言葉は、最近仏教に関心を寄せていると仰るTM THによる「愛語」。この言葉、皆さんご存知ですか？仏教で大事にしている4つの考えのうちの一つで、慈悲の心から発する言葉、のことだそうです。これは普段から、周りを幸せにしますね！

準備スピーチ１　「英検受検へ私を突き動かしたもの」by TM KK (5:58)

今週末、4度目の英検面接にチャレンジという機会に、目指すに至った経緯を3つの柱で大変聴きやすくスピーチされました。「2000時間の勉強で受かる！」と聞いて、朝5時から8時で一日3時間で勉強すれば、、あれ？2年で受かる！？と考え、それを実行なさるTM KKに、皆から尊敬のまなざしが送られました。がんばって下さい！！

論評はTM RT。良かった点として、分かりやすい構成と、内容の面白さ、数々のパワーワードで惹きつけたことを挙げました。そして時間配分と最後に印象付ける終わり方について改善点が述べられた、さすがのクリアな論評でした。

今夜は特別企画、TMOE NKによる小噺コーナーが設けられました！

トーストマスターズの歴史について、クイズ形式でのトークが繰り広げられました。日本で最初のトーストマスターズ例会が開かれたのはいつ？？場所は？？　意外な、でも納得の歴史を垣間見ることができました。そして当クラブについても、理解が深まりました。日本で81番目にできたクラブなのですね！

Prepared Speech #2　”Title of Movies” (6:27) by TM AO

TM AO gave his own view on the Japanese version of the Hollywood movie title, giving a lot of examples. There are titles that are slightly different to completely different titles. Information about “why did you change this way” or his own views were also mentioned. TM AO is so detailed that we’re all interested in!

Evaluation by TM TM

Great persuasiveness and originality are praised. Especially the original materials prepared for the club members are wonderful. He pointed out that focusing on examples that lead to conclusions would be more persuasive. His commentary always feels like a good mix of persuasiveness and warmth.

The table topics master was TMKK.

The style of selection on table topics based on the content of today’s first speech is very realistic.

新会員Ａさんの入会式は、オンラインにて、正式な手順に沿って進められました（今回の” Pledge of All Club Members”は、だいぶ皆も声が揃いましたよね！）。トーストマスターズ経験者のＡさんは1分スピーチも余裕綽綽、これからのスピーチをみんなとっても楽しみにしています。
