本日のゲストは0名だったため、TMMAの挨拶後すぐに今回のTMOEのTMTMの進行で会が始まりました。

当日の1月10日が「干瓢の日」「糸引き納豆の日」だということが理由とともに紹介され、手慣れた様子で会は進みました。

今夜の言葉は、TMNSが選んだ辰年にふさわしい「登竜門」となりました。なかなか活用が難しそうな言葉でしたが、このあと何度か登竜門という言葉を聞くことができました。

準備スピーチ#1：　「せっかいとトウモロコシ」　TMSE

TMSEがかつて駐在していたメキシコの食文化に関するお話でした。テキーラに始まりトルティーヤ、タコスなどに話が及び、豆知識がいっぱいのとてもおいしそうな内容でした。

論評#1：　TMHH

今回が初論評のTMHH。聴衆への問いかけを効果的に使っているところなど、ポイントを押さえて評価されていました。

準備スピーチ#2：　「Think BIG !」　TMJS

転職に関するとてもエネルギッシュなスピーチでした。交渉術からマインドセットまで、終始ポジティブに語りかける態度が印象的でした。人柄が伝わってきました。

論評#2：　TMMA

スピーカーに負けないポジティブな論評で、ホワイトボードへの書き込みや、堂々とした態度などを評価されていました。

＜English Session＞

The word of the evening, chosen by TMNS, was “Invincible”. It is also a powerful word, like “Toryumon”.

Prepared Speech#1: English rakugo “The first visit to Tenjin Shrine” TMKK

This was a self-project. It was a challenge to the rare English rakugo. It was a perfect story for the new year, depicting the funny interaction between a father and a son who go to Tenjin Shrine. She had to start over because of sound trouble, but she recovered quickly. It was an impressive performance with rakugo gestures. 

Evaluation#1: TMNK

TMNK mentioned the difficulty of performing rakugo in English, which requires knowledge of Japanese culture to understand.

Prepared Speech#2:  All You Need Is Laugh　TMAO

It was another speech about laughter, based on the feedback from the previous speech. It was interesting to introduce various aspects of laughter, such as unexpected humor, ethnic jokes, and so on.

Evaluation#2: TMMK

TMMK took on the difficult mission of evaluating her mentor. She did not just praise him, but also pointed out his lack of eye contact. I was impressed by how calmly she observed him.

■#1 How to Make a Persuasive Speech by TM MK

　TM MK delivered a sophisticated speech about learnings from the previous failure speech “Sumiko Grashi”. But I don’t think that her “Sumiko Grashi” speech was definitely  successful. In addition, her performance of Banana-venders was also amazing.

　今年最後の例会に相応しい言葉のチョイスはお見事でした。

  TM HHはスピーカーをスマホのツールで決めるという新しい方法を試しました。予想外の人が当たったりして、おもしろい展開となりました。

【年末スペシャル】

会長のTM MAによる年末スペシャルで、今年を締めくくりました。

3人ずつグループになり、今年の楽しかったことを話しました。

TM AO started to explain that he would give 7 short funny stories

 And asked us to distinguish which were funny, not-funny or not-understandable by writing down the judgement sheet. The 7 short stories were all funny ones (for me), however, we would wait for TM AO’s feedback at next timing.

The Evaluator was TM NS (time: 2’15”)

TM NS pointed out that his speech style was very unique because he shared small sheet of paper to all audience to catch the attention. TM NS also commented that all short story was funny.

タイトル 「光速を超えた先」

TM　HHさんが技術系の人間であり技術の話にいつも興味持っている事。図書館に行って読んだ本や「量子テレポーション」に関する最新の研究の進み具合を話されました。

論評者(Evaluator)は　TM　MKさん　　(time 3’23”)

知的でポジティブなタイトルが良かった。理数系な話がにがてな自分であるが、具体的な内容が多く、良く理解しやすい例（ビー玉、ドラえもん）を配置していて素晴らしかった。

又、前回スピーチの指摘点である「…ですね。」を修正し、省いて話されたのが非常に良かったと賞賛されました。

タイトル　「小遣いやろか」（独自スピーチ）

TM KKさんの子育ての実践のなかで経験された出来事を具体的に楽しく話されました。

具体的な例として　英単語1語につき10円とか、絵を描かせて小遣いを渡す等。

聴衆の気持ちをグイグイ引っ張りながら話を進められました。

論評者(Evaluator)は　TM　ONさん　　(time　3’05”)

TM　KKさんがスピーチの入りの部分で前のスピーチが技術的で高尚だった点を上手く引き合いに出すテクニックを評価。又、話が「成功ケース」と「失敗ケース」として紹介した点が聴衆に分かり易さを与えたと評価しました。又、家庭内の話であるがビジネス等に拡がる普遍的な構成としてると。

本日は多くの役割で初めての方々が分担された（TMOEのYMさん、VoteカウンターのKYさん、GRACOのSOさん）皆さん良くやって頂いた。特にTMOEのYMさんは落ち着いた雰囲気で会を取り纏めされていた。論評に関し、MKさんが事前に良く準備され的確な論評をされていたと感心しましたと。

The meeting started with greeting by our president TM M.A.

She mentioned today(11/22) was, in Japanese, いい夫婦の日, and started meeting with warm atmosphere.

Today’s TMOE was our Vice President Education, TM O.N.  He started the educational session referring to the opening comments from TM M.A

The word of the day was introduced by TM S.O.  The word was “Rewarding”

The 1^st speaker was TM K.I. the speech was about Japanese ghost story.

She explained, in Japanese culture, ghost stories were a kind of entertainment in the history.  She started her story telling with picture of Katsushika Hokusai which shows ghost of “Kiku’s well”.  The storytelling was delivered with various tone of voice, and made us think the effect of ghost in our culture.

The next agenda was table topics.  We need to respond to impromptu questions from Table Topics master, TM N.H!!  She prepared several cards which show certain word and requested speakers to talk personal stories using words in the cards.

Q1 goes to our president, TM M.A., the word was “Motivation”

She made speech about how she and her husband strengthened the relationship and how it motivated her, which relates to the opening remarks of today’s meeting as a president!

Q2 goes to TM H.H., the word was “Ambition”

He made speech about his mindset to be a good speaker and why he joined toastmasters, and also from learning from YouTube.

Q3 goes to TM N.S., the word was “Skills”

She told about her honest feeling about her learning skills and talk about training about golf very smoothly.

Q4 goes to TM T.M., the word was “Personality”

He told he is not good at table topics even after long experiences in toastmasters and the reason why from his personality.

Q5 TM K.K., the word was “Best friends”

She told about the best friend who is always energetic and giving her energy, and planned travel with her to Hakodate next month.

The last agenda in English session was the evaluation by TM A.O. for TM K.I’s speech.

TM A.O. praised the choice of speech topic, effective visual of showing picture, and precise expressions during the speech.  And he suggests the effective use of script and tablet during the speech and more effective use of vocal variety.

＃1　マジカルメンタリング　ＴＭ ＭＫ

　子供のころ、手がかかる子だったが、先生が自分の得意なところを見つけてくれたのをきっかけに成長できた、という体験談を踏まえて、「先生」と「メンター」は違う、メンタリングは指摘ではなく気づかせるもの、という内容で、とてもわかりやすく、力強いスピーチでした。

＃２　洗濯物の山を制覇する　ＴＭ ＫＹ

　洗濯物の量が多い４人家族。どんな方法で征服するのか興味津々でした。洗濯物のたたみ方のデモンストレーションがよかったです。論評者からも、「うちの夫にも教えたい」とのコメント。楽しいスピーチでした。

本日は、クラブ例会前の会場の様子からレポートします！！
最近の例会は、19時の開始10分前に準備が整います。バナーが飾られ、協力し合ってハイブリッド機材の設置接続をして、ホワイトボードにも本日のAgendaがきれいに板書されます。皆さんロの字型に並んだテーブルについてzoomに入り、例会でのご自身の役割を確認しています。そして、本日のスピーカーさんの緊張感が会場に漂うのでしょうか、東京インターの例会開始前の会場はなぜかとっても静かです。そうして、偉い先生を迎える訳でもないのに、厳粛に(←ちょっと大げさ)、例会の開始を迎えます。（いやーーこの光景って、すごくないですか？）
　そんな中、開会を知らせる会長TMMAはいつも緊張の面持ちでガベルを鳴らし、第440回例会が始まります。
さて、今夜のTMOEはベテランメンバーのTMJS。最初から会長の季節ネタ挨拶にツッコミを入れて明るくテンポの良い進行、同時にオンライン参加のメンバー一人一人に声を掛ける繊細な気遣い、ファシリテーターとしての余裕を示します。この辺りからグググッーと楽しいムードが醸成され、今夜の言葉の発表に続きます。
今夜の言葉は「好奇心旺盛」、“Curious”　わくわく東京インターにピタリとくるワードですね。

準備スピーチ＃１：「穴があったら入りたい」TMNS
息子さんの1枚の写真を示したエピソードから、自身のコミュニケーションスキルを反省し、分析し、次に生かそう、という鉄壁構成のスピーチ。今日はボーカルバラエティとボディランゲージの課題ということで、朝、息子を起こす母の怒鳴り声からの始まりに、ご自身への挑戦を感じました！

論評＃１：TMKK　タイトルと構成とボーカルバラエティの良さに言及しつつ、その怒鳴り声を「ほんとはもっと怖いはず！」との返しはTMKKならでは。そして子育て経験(完了)者からのアドバイスへ・・・！？

準備スピーチ＃２：TMHH「目標達成へのパスポート、習慣について」
タイトル通りの、目標達成のための習慣づけのコツについて、体験を交えて活き活きとスピーチされました。なるほど～～～臨場感がありました。既存の習慣へのチョイ乗せ、コレ、ホントに良さそう！！

論評＃２：TMKM
オンラインからでも、丁寧な、スピーカーに寄り添ったと感じられる論評がありました。
口癖もきっちり拾い上げ、具体的な改善が繋がりそうです！
今回のGRAHCOは、初めてのTMWE。いや～みんなビックリ、多岐にわたるfiller-wordsの完璧カウント、すご過ぎて面白い･･･こんなGRAHCOが今まであったでしょうか！？特殊技能保持者と認定しました。

一転して、中休みの10分は、スピーカーを労い、感想を伝え交わし合い、たいへん和やか(英語スピーカーは未だ緊張の中ですが)。第1幕が終わって高揚した空気の中、第2幕を待つホワイエにいるようでもあります。あ、後半のガベルが鳴りました！

Prepared Speech3: TMHA”Row Row Row your boat”
It‘s a long-time-no-see member, TMHA’s so amazing speech!!! He started with his familiar song, “Row, Row, Row. Everyone was surprised with his gorgeous voice. And he showed his story with this song and leaded to the inspirable conclusion. Bravo!

Evaluation3: TMTM
He mentioned about TMHA’s good points so vividly, great advantages, speech skills and efforts. And he also showed his idea of this wonderful speech’ key phrase.

Prepared Speech4: TMKY ”The lack of pre-research in Iwate”
This was his first speech and that started with his hobby of a running marathon …BUT it led us to an unexpected story telling on the train home. The story with rich gestures and acting showed his personality well and he succeeded to show his heart to his new friends! Thank you!!

Evaluation4: TMAO
He praised his effort for this first speech and analyzed the speech’s higher points. Purpose, Compose, and Time management. And also, he proposed a punch line and prologue asoriginals.
Today’s GE, TMYU. Even though it was his first role, he analyzed 2 experienced evaluators clearly with laughter! He always succeeds in club’s new roles by inventing them in his own way. Great!

ところで、トーストマスターズでは会長、TMOEが“ガベル(木槌)”を使います。映画の中などで欧米の裁判官が「静粛に！」という時にコンコン叩く、アレです（あとはオークションの落札の時のコンッくらいでしょうか）。東京インターでは、歴代会長が最初と最後に、静かでも区切りのようにガベルを鳴らしてきています。でも、シーンとしたなかでも鳴らすのって･･･緊張しますよね。小さい音でそーっと鳴らします。ガベル、アメリカ発祥のトーストマスターズではお馴染みの小道具です！

トーストマスターズクラブの年度は9月始まり。新年度に入って2か月が経ち、今回の例会では今後のクラブを運営していくために、現状を自己評価する「真実の瞬間(Moment ofTruth)」をおこないました。また、ワークショップ前には日本語・英語合体型のスピーチセッションも実施。ハロウィンの時期にあった即興スピーチもおこない、充実した例会でした。

[English Speech Session/　日本語スピーチセッション]
TM H.H. presented the Word of the Evening for evening both English and Japanese session:“too…” and 「あまりにも…」。 The word, which is often used to emphasize, was used by many speakers. One prepared speech, each in English and Japanese, was presented.

■Prepared Speech #1 “Guidelines on Guide Dogs’”　by TM M.K.
TM MK has a friend who is visually impaired and supported by a guide dog. In her speech, she shared her personal experience which she learnt from her conversation with the friend. The guidelines of how to communicate when there is a guide dog, were informative: don’t pad on the well-trained dogs like pets, don’t make over exceeded gesture, as those actions will mis-lead the dogs. Guide dogs are ‘professionals’ and understand by the vocal tone and facial expression of humans and of the environment.

◆Evaluation for Prepared Speech #1 by TM S.E.
TM S.E. highlighted many good points of her speech. The speech title was clear and helped the audience to imagine the content beforehand. He also pointed out that she used questions during the speech in an effective way to draw the listeners’ attention. One suggestion to the speaker was to use pose or a moment of silence, as one of the means of body-language.

■準備スピーチ2　「クリスマス会での英語落語発表に向けて」　TM　 K.K.
K.K.さんは、お世話になっている先生に誘われ、今年のクリスマスで英語落語発表を頼まれたとのこと。「ないもの買い」という落語の作品の一部を披露する予定で、その一部を実演して紹介しつつ、参加募集のお声がけもされました。

◆準備スピーチ２への論評　TM.　K.A.
TM.　K.A.は、スピーチの内容にサプライズがあって引き付けられこと、とくに落語をされること、バイリンガル落語会があることが印象的だったことをスピーチのよかった点としてあげました。また、スピーチの構成もよくききやすかったことも評価。今後にむけて、日本語と英語の落語の違いについて、例をあげて対比しながら説明したら、バイリンガル落語のおもしろさを伝わって、さらに深みのあるスピーチになるのではないかと提案しました。

ハロウィンの季節ということで、TM.　N.S.がハロウィンに因んだお題目をあげました。
トピック１　：もしも今年のハロウィンに仮想をするとしたら、何を選びますか？なぜですか？
回答者：TM　K.I.　 たまたま他のトーストマスターズクラブでハロウィンパーティを企画して、仮装することになり、赤ずきんちゃんに。
トピック2：ジャック・オー・ランタンを見たことがないひとに、それをどのようなものかを詳しく説明してください
回答者：TM　H,H,　かぼちゃをくりぬいて、ろうそくで雰囲気を醸し出す。
トピック3：Trick or Treat　でお菓子をもらえずに、‘Trickをすることになりました。相手が少し困るけれど、後で笑えるようにTrickを考えてください。
回答者：TM T.M. 終わりのないテーブルトピックスをいたずらにつづける。
トピック4：ハロウィンの飾りつけ用の風船の色を選んで、ＴＭの皆さまが納得するようにおすすめしてください。（茶、黒、紫、白）
回答者：TMY.U.　職場で、「仮装して働く」という企画があったが、普段通りで参加した。
自分自身が仮装だから、ゆえで、その同様の理由で白。

■ワークショップ「真実の瞬間」　司会：TM. O.N.
「真実の瞬間」とは、　マーケティング用語で、「顧客が商品やサービスのクオリティーを審判する瞬間」。もとは、1980年代初頭にスカンジナビア航空の経営をⅤ字回復させた、ヤン・カールソン氏が提唱した考え。同航空会社の利用客に直接応対するスタッフが応接する時間が当時15秒。そのわずかな時間のサービス満足度を上げることで成功しました。
その考えにもとづき、TITMCでは新入会員が最近増えているなか、その対応が「瞬間」をとらえて十分に行われているかを話し合いました。コミュニケーション力向上などについて情報収集をしている際にTITMCについて初めて知ったとき、例会にゲストとして参加してみたとき、そして入会したとき。それぞれの「瞬間」について、新入会員の方々を中心に意見を共有し合いました。
4つのグループは、３つは会場、1つはZoomにわかれた、ハイブリッド形式。２５分ディスカッションし、最後には各グループの代表者がそれぞれ発表しました。TITMCを知ったきっかけは、インターネット検索から品川区の広報誌までさまざま。ゲストとして参加する前にはメールによる迅速な説明があったことや、参加した例会では丁寧な説明があったこと、アットホームな雰囲気でありつつも、会の運営システムがしっかりしている印象を受けたことなどの意見が共有されました。一方で入会後に共有される会員同士のメールの数の多さや、メンターの役割など、今後の改善できそうな点もオープンに共有され、有意義なセッションでした。

まず今夜の言葉は、TM K.Y.さんより「流石」。流石となった理由も併せてご説明いただきました。

スピーチ #1（TM H.H.）
Pathways “Presentation Mastery” Level 1「論評とフィードバック」
タイトル: 「秘境での激流下り」

TM H.H.さんの地元で流行っているというラフティングを紹介されました。
日本最大秘境の1つである四国だそうですが、ロンリープラネットにも載っており、
海外からも訪れる方がたくさんいるとのことです。
しかもガイドはネパールから出稼ぎに来ている方も多く、実はネパールがラフティング大国で あるというプチ情報も織り交ぜていました。

流れはレベル5のうちのレベル4と速く、世界選手権も行われる川だそうですが、
そこにボート70㎏と5-6人の乗員+ガイド1名で総重量は500-600㎏で挑むとのことで、 ダイナミックな様子が目に浮かびます。

最後に築300年の古民家を再生したホテルの写真も素敵で是非訪れてみたい、と思わせるスピーチでした。

スピーチ #2（TM K.M.）
Pathways “Leadership Development” Level 1 Researching and Presenting
タイトル: 「さようなら国立劇場」

冒頭で秋の訪れから芸術の秋に触れながら今回のテーマである歌舞伎に自然に入り、
高校生の時に体験した歌舞伎で感動した点などに触れられていました。

そして、寺島しのぶさんが現在、歌舞伎座の文七元結物語に出演していることに驚き、 男性しか出演できないと思っていた歌舞伎の世界のリサーチの話へと進むのでした。

歌舞伎の起源をたどると、阿国にたどり着き、それは当初女性が始めたものだったとのことです。

歌舞伎座は松竹が運営している点や、山田洋二郎監督が演出している点、幼馴染の中村獅童の推薦など にも言及され、いろいろな条件が組合さったのかもしれませんが、社会的な芸術として門戸が広く 開かれるかもしれない、というメッセージで締められました。

Pathways “Presentation Mastery”Level 1 Ice Breaker
Title: “Self-intrduction”

He started from his ice break magic. It’s a real magic.
He showed the written word paper were rearranging and became the order of letters “MAGIC”. Wow!

He also showed ring magic, called chinese ring magic.
TM A.M. could not link the rings, but he easily linked together and un-linked again. Wow!

Speech #4 (TM S.E.):
Pathways “Strategic Relationship”Level 1 Evaluation and Feedback
Title: “Mysterious Cloud”

He revealed his experience of Mexico city earthquake in 1980’s.
He went his office and tried to restart, but he saw the purple, dark blue cloud.
He showed the picture, it was really scarely color.

He decided to go back home, but on the way, another earthquake hit and electlicity gone.
Road signal turend off and it was very difficult to drive, but finally he came close to his home.

But the road were blocked. He talked with local people.(He spoke this real Spanish.)
The blockade was because of the building was leaning! The building was his home!!
He rushed to the building and could meet again with his family and evacuated to safer place.

That was really a shocking story. And everyone lost the word.

本日はまだまだ残暑が厳しいですが、参加者が多く、大盛況でした。今夜の司会はTM NHさん、いつもとおりスムーズに会が進行されました。本日は1名のゲスト参加、1名の入会式がありました。

[English Session]

TM KK　presented the Word of the Evening; “Step by step.” 　It is a very important  word for every member.

■Prepared Speech #1 “An Analysis of Communication Style of Smikko Gurashi”　by TM MK

Smikko Gurashi ？　At first　I thought that it was a person`s name. But I found it my favorite characters, such as Shrimp Tail, Cutlet, Tokage, Penguin.

Surprisingly, TM MK analyzed the characters` personality and she suggested the measure to improve their negative parts by joining in this club. Amazing!   

◆Evaluation for Prepared Speech #1 by TM ON

TM ON admired that her speech was easy to understand and effective to use distinct Smikko Gurashi’s characters. In addition he analyzed that the use of clear pictures helped the audience understand the fictional characters. His suggestion was the use of more effective vocal variety.

■Prepared Speech #2 “Turning a new page” by TM SO

TM SO could turn a new page! It was his first speech in this club meeting.

However, his speech was very clear and his attitude was also calm and stable.

He had some hard experiences, such as graduation crisis and oversea transfer.

Despite of tough situation, his huge efforts to get through the hardships were paid off.

I hope that he will enjoy your next page and brush up his speech skill more and more.

◆Evaluation for Speech #2 by TM MA

TM　MA　praised that the structure, message, and expression of the speech were appropriate and skillful. Furthermore, she highly evaluated his impressive story of his huge efforts in abroad after his young day`s lazy life. She also suggested that he should use eye contact, body language, and vocal variety. Step by step!

TM AO prepared some envelops. Speakers could select their favorite one. There was a topic written on the paper in each envelope, and then speakers made a speech about the topic.

• 準備スピーチ１　「TITMCのITシステム Update Plan」　TM　KA　

TM KAはスピーチを通して、今、このクラブが直面しているメンバーの情報共有の問題点について説明し、問題解決の方法として、サークルスクエアというグループウエアの利用の提案がありました。

　　（スピーチ後、何人かのメンバーから使用してみたい、との申し出があり、効果は絶大でした。）

• 準備スピーチ１への論評　TM KI　

TM KIから、冒頭での全体の説明がありわかりやすかったこと、また内容は当クラブに相応しいものでありたいへんよかったとの評価がありました。一方、サークルスクエアの内容の説明が短かった、との指摘もありました。

• 準備スピーチ２　「ほんわかなカオス」　TM　WE　

　　TM WEによる初スピーチは、とても初めてとは思えないものでした。

　　まずは「ほんわかなカオス」という洗練されたタイトルは何？から、聴衆の興味を引きました。子供時代の「くちばし事件」のエピソードを始め、ストーリーだけでなく、ボディーランゲージも使っての熱演に聴衆の注目を集めました。

　  次回のスピーチはどんな内容になるのでしょうか。想像できないほど楽しみです。

TM TMから　「総じて、面白い！ナナメから来たと感じるスピーチで、論評がとても難しかった！」

タイトルのひねり、インパクト大。スピーチ中も「クチバシ事件」など、素晴らしい言葉のチョイス、

そして、アドリブ力。1回目のスピーチなのにメモ無し、ボディランゲージもしっかり入れ、「ケンカをしてもいいとも～」の部分など声色の使い分けまでしていました。

また、より長いスピーチでは、句読点の区切りを持たせることを意識するとよいとの提案がありました。

今後、色々と幅を広げる挑戦もされていることを楽しみにしています。

第436回例会レポート/ Meeting report #436 (September17^th, 2023)

本日の司会（Toastmaster of the Evening）は、6年ぶりにTMOEを務めるTM G.K。欠席者が出てクラブのシンボルフラッグがない中、白板にフラッグの絵を描いて例会ムードを盛り上げます。

準備スピーチ１：「音楽を奏でるように」　(TM K.M)

今年６月に本クラブに復帰したTM K.M。過去の自分のスピーチ対する先輩からのフィードバックを見返した際、ボーカルバラエティがワントーンになりがちだったことに気付きます。改善のヒントはないかと考え思い出したのが、以前聴きに行ったメンデルスゾーンのコンサート。ヴァイオリニストによって、音を一つ一つ丁寧に積み重ねるように弾いたり、フレアスカートを穿いた女性が階段を駆け下りるような滑らかさで弾いたりと、スタイルは様々。スピーチのボーカルバラエティも、音楽を奏でるように、自分のスタイルで身に着けていきたいとのことでした。

準備スピーチ１：「私のふるさとの光景」　(TM H.H)

初スピーチとして、自身のルーツを紹介するTM H.H。出身は徳島ののどかな田舎町で、小学校は規模が小さく、高校までクラス替えも経験なし（「好きな子と同じクラスになれた！」と甘酸っぱい経験してみたかったそうな…）。学校の前の駄菓子屋では、子供たちがキン消しのガチャガチャに夢中になったり、地面に直置きのジャンプを買ったり。夏になると駄菓子屋に銛が売られ、それを買ってフナやドジョウ、ナマズ等を捕まえたそうです（中には自分の足を銛で突いて病院送りになる子もいたそうな…）。そんな故郷は今も自然豊か、最近はラフティングで人気のスポットとなっています。

テーブルトピック（即興スピーチ）　（出題者：TM Y.U）

ラグビーワールドカップから着想を得た、人生の局面に関する出題。

(1)試合展開： 人生最大の番狂わせは？（回答者：ゲストY）

マラソンの長距離が趣味。先日、楽勝だと思っていた富士五湖マラソンで、寝不足のせいか調子が悪く、まさかの完走できなかったのが番狂わせだった。

(2)ラグビーボール：どちらの結果になるかハラハラした経験は？（回答者：TM A.O）

昔、就活の時に超有名企業を受けて不合格になり、親や親戚に「お前はダメだね～」と言われ続けた。その会社の名は「東●電力」。2011年以降、今度はみんなに「お前は運が良かったね～」と言われている。

(3)ノーサイド：何かに取り組んで、チームと称え合った経験は？（回答者：TM T.M）

先日、民事訴訟案件で弁護士と仕事をすることになった。そんな中で異業種交流会があり、その弁護士も誘ったが、相手方の弁護士が参加すると知りお断りされた。しかし裁判終了後は、その弁護士達はとても仲良くなっており、ノーサイドの精神を感じた。

優しいトーンの声でなじみやすく、癒しを感じた。メンデルスゾーンのメロディを歌ったのも効果的。前回のフィードバックを活かし、落ち着いて喋ったのも良かった。話すスピードをより工夫し、一度止まって聴衆の注目を集めるのもよい。

#2 TM M.AからTM H.Hへの論評

前向きでオープンな人柄が伝わった。自身のルーツというテーマ選び、みんなが楽しめるネタを入れるサービス精神、冒頭でスピーチの概要を述べた点が良かった。提案として、終わりには内容全体の纏めをしたり、聴衆とのコミュニケーションを入れたりしてみてはどうか。

1^st speech “Zoo” by TM K.K

TM K.K tried English version of Rakugo, the Japanese traditional standup comedy, for the first time in her Toastmasters journey. She told a story of a man who was hired by a financially challenged zoo, which was looking for someone who can pretend to be a tiger. Dressed in the tiger costume, put in the animal cage, what will happen next to that stupid man―?  Sat on the chair with her Japanese fan in her hand, TM K.K performed a wonderful Rakugo and audience couldn’t stop laughing at the funny gestures and humorous development of the story.

2^nd speech “”No” Strategy” by TM N.S

Have you ever said “yes” to join an event which you didn’t want to join? TM N.S had confronted such difficulties many times since she didn’t want say “no” to others, especially in the business situations. However always saying yes could cause negative effect both physically and mentally on us and hinder us from seizing better alternative opportunities. Thus, guided by self-development books, TM N.S sort out her priorities and learned when to say no, as well as the ways for refusal in a polite and assertive way. These knowledges helped her to establish her “NO strategy” or “Number One strategy” in her life. At the closing, she beautifully introduced the citation of Wallen Buffet pertaining to the power of saying “no”.

Evaluation for TM K.K by TM A.O

Brilliant performance of famous Rakugo story, successful delivery and closing, cracked audience up. Video recording before the performance to check the voice tone/ volume might help. Also, try to alter the ending part of the original script and create your own version to be an advanced Rakugo performer.

Evaluation for TM N.S by TM T.M

Double-meaning title was curious, the logic and structure were very clear throughout the speech, the storytelling part added persuasiveness and emotion to the business style presentation. To improve more, stand on listeners’ view point and show benefits of “no” strategy for the audience.

General Evaluator, TM K.I praised the hardworking of TMOE G.K to conduct a well-organized meeting, and suggested everyone who use slides to prepared a contingency plan for the tech issues, such as weak Internet connection, to keep the meeting proceed smoothly.
